Once again, the live games are bets I particularly like and they are worth throwing into a multiple:
Chicago -3
Green Bay -3
Houston -6.5
£15 Trixie pays £200
Bears at Detroit
I've mentioned before that I'm not a fan of situational betting, but
the Bears have to win to have a chance at the post-season and that must
play here.
More important is the ability of the Chicago' defense to take away
the ball, coupled with Detroit's willingness to give it away: the Bears
lead the league in causing turnovers and the Lions rank seventh in
giveaways in the NFL.
Matt Stafford will want to feed megatron to get him over the 2000yd
mark and while it's a pretty terrifying thought that one of the finest
wide receivers to have ever played football is going to be targeted even
more than normal, it may signal a one-dimensional threat and the
potential for picks, particularly if Charles Tillman goes.
Chicago aren't exactly lighting it up with their passing game,
despite having the excellent Brandon Marshall finally showing his real
class, and Cutler clearly doesn't trust guys like Davis and the
talented, if raw, Alshon Jeffery, so it's vital that a banged up Forte
gets rolling and the horrible Chicago O line keeps Cutler upright - Nick
Fairley's absence is a big bonus for the visitors here. Cutler will get
sacked, but he just can't get beat up/rendered completely useless!
I like the Bears' D to be the D-ifference though (clever, huh?) and I'll give the field goal.
Pick: Chicago Bears -3 @ 2.00
Pick: 1st TD Calvin Johnson @ 7
Pick: Anytime TD Alshon Jeffery @ 3.25
