Both
of these pitchers have less than stellar numbers L3 (Scherzer, 1.47/6.32
WHIP/ERA; Garcia 1.60/4.60) and their season’s numbers suggest that there’ll be
runs at Yankee Stadium.
Garcia
has struggled with righties in September (they’re hitting .364 against him) and
Scherzer is oddly prone to give up the long ball on the road – a very dangerous
habit in the Bronx.
