MLB - Texas at Detroit

Wednesday October 12th 9pm
ESPN America

Starting Pitchers
Texas: Harrison (14-9, 3.39 ERA)
Detroit: Porcello (14-9, 4.75 ERA)

The Tigers can hit. Who knew?

Adding V-Mart to the home team’s walking wounded is not good, but thankfully Detroit looked a much happier unit at the plate last night. If they can get it to Papa Grande with a lead, it looks all over.

Texas don’t like Comerica, they now own the worst record in the AL at CP, and Harrison doesn’t enjoy the Tigers; he is 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA in two starts against them this season and is 1-4 with a 6.89 ERA in seven career appearances.

Porcello beat the Rangers in June when he allowed one run in six innings. He is 1-1 with a 6.30 ERA in two career outings against Texas and despite a worryingly high ERA at home (5.60) looks like the value here.

With these pitcher numbers and the waking home bats, I’ll go over too.

NOTE: The weather forecast looks poor for tonight, so you might want to hold off on the totals' bet.

Pick: Tigers @2.13; 112; 113/100
Pick: Over 9.5 @ 2.1; 110; 11/10
