Arizona at Milwaukee

MLB

Arizona at Milwaukee
Friday October 7th 10pm
ESPN America

Starting Pitchers
Arizona: Kennedy (25-5, 2.95 ERA)
Milwaukee: Gallardo (18-10, 3.43 ERA)

Win or go home, baby II

Gallardo is 6-0 against the Diamondbacks and has only given up 5 earned runs in total against them. In Game 1, he retired 14 of 15 batters at one point, allowing one run on four hits over eight innings in a 4-1 victory.

Although Kennedy got knocked about in Game 1, it happens. He had an outstanding season (he’s in the Cy Young mix) and is 2-2 against Milwaukee, including a 4 hit shutout.

Although the pressure is on the Brewers, having failed to close out the series when they were 2-0 up, Milwaukee have won the most home games in the MLB this season, and their players obviously feel it’s a significant advantage. I see them taking the game tonight – the problem is, I don’t like the price.

I never bet shorter than 1.75 in baseball and the Brewers are only available at 1.67, so instead, I’ll look at the totals. It’s a simple enough call – Kennedy has great stuff and Gallardo is finishing strong, pitching beautifully - under is the call.

Pick: Under 7.5 @ 1.83; -120; 5/6
